I have a similiar problem: Network manager does get the DNS information
from my mobile provider, but does not write resolv.conf properly.
-r...@xinu:~# cat /etc/resolv.conf
# Generated by NetworkManager
nm-tool reports the following for my mobile broadband connection:
- Device: ttyUSB0 [Swisscom] --------------------------------------------------
Type: Mobile Broadband (GSM)
Driver: qcserial
State: connected
Default: yes
Capabilities:
IPv4 Settings:
Address: 10.142.66.244
Prefix: 32 (255.255.255.255)
Gateway: 10.64.64.64
My version of network manager: 0.7.996
And that's all there is. As a workaround, I add the nameservers to the
file manually after the connection has been established.
Do I need to file a new bug or might the same bug as described above be
responsible for my error?
Thanks & Please ignore any grammatical mistakes, English isn't my native
language =)
