I made a new fresh install clicking on "partial upgrade" as I sayd before, but the problem seems to be due to the fact that CD iso I downloaded (from the official site and from an italian mirror) is not referring to karmic stable release but to the development branch. In fact if I do, before proceeding with partial upgrade, a simple cat /etc/lsb-release I obtain DISTRIB_DESCRITPION="Ubuntu karmic (development branch)"
After doing "partial upgrade" all runs ok. Now I'm downloading 9.10 iso from United States to see if it's correct. -- cannot boot Karmic in VirtualBox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/472500 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
