Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pidgin

This has happened several times now. If I'm connected to the wireless
network at my work (which jumps out and come back again), Pigdin freezes
and crash. The last Pigdin-version didn't even say that it crashed, it
just quit without giving me an option to report the bug.
