Public bug reported:

I've just upgraded from Jaunty to Karmik and and my PCI USB 2.0 card
seems to be recognized (and I'm not sure of that since I've seen
something referring to it but right now on lspci it's not listed, plus
lsusb DOESN'T work anymore) but it's not working plus it seems the cause
of the boot hanging after grub, letting on a console format output a
series of numbers plus name of devices or so. Seems more like kernel
stuff. Now I'm currently running with the Jaunty kernel 2.6.28, with
2.6.31 I was working until 30 mins ago but after 4 restarts it keeps
hanging and the only way to reboot is by pressing the reset button on
the pc's case.

Internal USB controller was working well with Jaunty.
All started when I had some problems with the printer recognition and I've soon
(not really but...) discovered that the integrated on-board USB works, while my
controller does not.

Can you please help me?
What logs do you need to check the problem out? Tell me and I will attach them
here.

Dimitri
