I am keeping Karmic installed for now, on the hopes that someone will look at it. This is a dual-boot, system, also I have installed Jaunty 9.04 on it to provide a stable platform.
The problem with the cardbus slot being unusable, along with the messages appended to kern.log once a second, persists. Note that the internal Ralink RT2500 Cardbus/mini-PCI wifi card works, while the slot for external cards does not. External cards, such as a Netgear WG511T, DO WORK under 9.04 on this system. I am appending the output of `lshw`, to provide identification of the hardware involved. -- PC slot unsupported, and many "cardbus cards are not supported" messages running Karmic on Averatec 3280 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/436341 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
