continually since. Kbuntu-desktop is _not_ installed, but some KDE
applications are.

"cat /proc/version_signature" shows "Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.48-generic"
lspci identifies the video chip as "ATI Technologies Inc RS690M [Radeon X1200
Series]";
Xorg driver is radeon.
Hardware is a Toshiba Satellite A215 laptop.
