Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

I have a Seagate 500GB external HDD. Normal behavior is when this HDD is
accessed from a sleep state(spun-down) the window temporarily grays out
till data is retrieved from the HDD (spin up).

However, the bug is that this external HDD is accessed even when I try
to access folders on local partitions (not Ubuntu's partition). I have
two FAT partitions and a CDROM drive. Whenever I open these up, the
external HDD is accessed, causing the window to gray out. I do not think
this is normal behavior.
