Public bug reported:
I have upgraded from Jaunty to Karmic and after that upgrade my Dell fails to
go into hibernation. When hibernation is selected, the screen turns black, but
the power light is still on and the laptop remains warm, so seems to be running.
The only solution is pushing the power button to switch the laptop off
completely. Rebooting later is going fine.
