I can't i need the laptop for work so as such needed to get it back to a
usable state, so reverted back to installing 9.04 as this works
perfectly..

The issue I had with 9.10 was basically, on completion of the upgrade
using the package manager (apt-get) i reboot the laptop and then login.
Everything looks excellent, but then after loading the startup sequence,
it complains about some server wont start. Ive never seen this before so
im assuming its a new part to 9.10, cant remember what it was.

I would like to give you more information but as i mentioned i cant
because i need linux running so reverted back to the older version.

One thing to mention is that i tried installing it from scratch but
after the initial select language option it just freezes the laptop and
stops installing. Giving a couple of errors. That i will be able to give
you information on when i get home tonight i will add another comment.

One question though, why is it that although my laptop is less than a
year old, it took me ages to find a working linux os that would take to
the laptop, i wanted Ubuntu but this never installs, so ended up with
Gentoo for a while until i tried Kubuntu, i must say i love this OS. I
will try my best to get you more information tonight

Thankyou for your reply

Regards

Adam Copley
