I tried to install the KDE 3.5 downmix of Kubuntu 3.5.10 Karmic from here:
https://wiki.kubuntu.org/Kubuntu/Kde3/Karmic. Each time after choosing the
language and starting the installation (or choosing to evaluate Kubuntu without
installation), the Kubuntu logo shows and after a time screen turns black and
only strange and strangely colored ascii-symbols appear when moving the mouse.
I tested this behaviour on two PCs (new as of Summer 2008) and VirtualBox to
make sure it does not only happen on one PC.
