Hi, I have nearly the same problem with my Amilo 1510 and the last Debian SID. I was with Lenny and I upgrade my distribution to SID and after suspend and hibernate doen't work. The suspend and hibernate process work well. The resume start well but it block after a few second with a black screen. The PC is frozen. I've solved my problem by using the Lenny kernel (2.6.26) and not the SID one (2.6.31). With this kernel everything work as before. Perhaps it can help.
