Okay we get it. OTR is important to everyone and everyone thinks it's bad that it's the default IM client in Ubuntu. The fact remains that these comments are of no use in a bug report (neither is this one for that matter).
The relevant developers are working on this bug and also get the point. What's done is done, and the consequential issues are being addressed as best as possible. Please refrain from polluting the bug report with complaints and declarations that you will use alternate clients.
