Public bug reported:
On a fresh install of karmic this acer travelmate 4002wlmi doesn't power
down any more:
shutdown:
- disk spins down
- freeze on tty1
- something like "task 'halt' blocked for more than 120 seconds"
hibernate:
- disk keeps spinning
- ttys accesible but I can't type
- freeze on switch to tty7
suspend:
- disks keeps spinning
- screen empty but on
- freeze
In each case a hard power down is the only way out.
I'd guess this is related to KMS and the radeon mobility 9700 graphics
card...
