Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: beryl-manager

Feisty updated as of the morning of Feb 22 (eastern US time), Beryl
0.2.0 RC1. All had been working together very nicely prior to this
morning's updates.

Symptom: boot, Ubuntu logo with boot progress bar okay, login screen
okay, Beryl splash comes up, Gnome desktop goes completely black, except
for Beryl splash (which remains on the screen) and mouse cursor. Apps
(like Firefox) appear to launch when the (now invisible) task bar icon
is clicked (so OS is fully functioning), but screen is still black.
Reproducible across multiple reboots into several different session boot
options (selected from menu on login window).

Worked around by booting to terminal and reverting back to xorg.conf
that predated installation of Beryl (that change let me boot without the
black screen) and then once I was successfully booted, turning beryl-
manager off in the Sessions control panel (to avoid the problem going
forward). After turning off beryl-manager in session manager, I could
revert to the xorg.conf I was using with Beryl.

Problem goes away when I turn off beryl-manager, but has only happened
since this morning's updates (which I don't think included any beryl
updates), so I am not sure what the root cause is.
