Ok, the problem has gone. I just successfully burnt a cd with all tracks. I believe the bug fix update I installed *(mentioned above) between tries addressed the problem but the computer had to be restarted. Anyway it works now. I'm just not sure what to do with this report. I'll keep my eye on rhithmbox as I plan to burn some more discs these days. Regards.
