Today I tried installing XFCE. After logging in, I've inserted DVD and
launched some files. It worked for a while, but the freeze happened when
I tried to eject the disc - just like in Gnome after inserting, but
later.

** Description changed:

- When i boot Ubuntu 6.06 with the i686 kernel, whenever i insert a CD-ROM
- into drive my system hangs totally and does not response to every kind
- of input. It also does not produce any kind of output, it simply dies.
-
- Booting with i386 kernel doesn't give problems.

My Machine is an HP Pavillion with Intel Pentium 4 524 (3.06 Ghz) HT and
- a S-ATA HDD while CDROM is IDE. I used standard 2.6.15 kernel due to
- lack of Internet connection (I'm connecting from office).
