Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
Suspending my T61 laptop was working fine in Ubuntu 9.04, but the
upgrade to 9.10 broke it. Both the shutdown menu option and fn-f4 key
combination "seems" like it is suspending, but it's not. All that
happens is that I loose the wireless connection for a while as if it
thought that a suspend was about to happen. The "moon" indicator doesn't
even start to blink as it usually does.
FWIW, I've tried to suspend from a Karmic installed on a USB key, but
that had the same symptoms. I'm not sure it's supposed to work from an
external device though.
I can't readily find any logs with an error message, so I can't get any
further on this problem.
