I don't know why but man-db seems to stroke a bit with our man pages. I think in Debian we have (or had) a report that running man grub-foo shows the man page of grub-bar. mandb -c fixes this. http://packages.ubuntu.com/karmic/amd64/grub-pc/filelist The package itself doestn't contain any grub-install man page. Unfortunately this is still true with my last experimental upload to Debian. I look into this. But anyway the man pages are just autocreated with help2man and so are just the --help output. > Not sure if this will help but there appears to be at least a partial > man page for grub-install on the GNU GRUB Wiki: > > http://grub.enbug.org/FranklinPiat/grub-install.manpage There are no plans to integrate and continue Franklin's work on the man pages. upstream prefers to have them autogenerated via help2man and the real docs in the info pages. -- Felix Zielcke Proud Debian Maintainer and GNU GRUB developer -- Man page for grub-install missing. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/480571 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
