Public bug reported:
upgrading my system from Jaunty to karmic, suddenly I have no wireless
connection.
lspci show
0c:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11a/b/g
(rev 01)
which indicates that I have a BCM4312 chip. Booting with Jaunty, I see that the
module
wl is load which pressumably handle the chip. Under karmic, no module wl is
found,
the module b43 and ssb are loaded instead. But it doesn't work. Note also that
I don't
see any firmware blob related to b43 (as in the past b43 needs some firmware
to. run)
The hardware driver menu also indicates that no proprietary driver is present
in the
system.
