more usefull (?) information 
It seems i hav some right problems

when i do ls -l /mnt/home-smb-hd, the result is always "total 0" as if there 
was zero files
however i can do vi someexistingfile and view the content of the file (the file 
says to be readonly)
file cannot be saved (because readonly)
no new file can be created on the network hard drive

the drive configuration has no limitation saying i can only read or read/write
it says i can connect with or without (selected) a password to the share
