Good job and quick work on fixing this one. I just upgraded to the
2.6.31-15-generic #50 kernel and this issue is now resolved. I guess it
only applied to the #49 kernel. The only issue now if I do a suspend
and resume rather quickly and then enter the password to unlock the
screen rather quickly gnome will hang saying checking for a long time.
But at least I can get a terminal and then do a kill HUP on X and
restart everything. This bug actually applied to 2.6.31-14 also so it
is not a showstopper. Good job fixing this.
