I am using the live CD and browse my broken install of 9.10. I have found the following errors in the Xorg.0.log file:
(II) LoadModule: "i810" (WW) Warning, couldn't open module i810 (II) UnloadModule: "i810" (EE) Failed to load module "i810" (module does not exist, 0) and (II) intel(0): Setting screen physical size to 367 x 230 (EE) config/hal: couldn't initialise context: unknown error (null) (II) intel(0): EDID for output VGA1 I don't know if this will help or not.
