I have come up with a temporary fix for Usplash not recognising the correct monitor resolution during the boot up sequence. First, I downloaded "Startup manager" and messed with some of the settings which Usplash kicked into gear. After I was satisfied with the results, I set all the settings back to default in "Startup Manager" in which I have had no issues with resolution, however the graphic display does flicker from time to time, but other than that I no longer get any error messages that I know of. The issue still needs resolving as one should not have to perform a work-a-round just to get Usplash to work. Usplash should just recognise the resolution out of the box. perhaps further research needs to be addressed so the next version of Ubuntu does have these same issues during boot up. Thanks, Chris
