Hi Arise, Yes there is a work around, that is what my post of the 1st of November was about. First you totally remove openoffice from your computer, then you install java (if not already there). Then you download the program (deb files) from the openoffice.org website, and install them with dpkg. It worked for me, openoffice works flawlessly. If these instructions (combined with previous post) are not clear enough, don't hesitate to ask.
