Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kvm
A few minor problems running on an Acer 5102 WLMi Turion 64-X2 laptop
with 2GB RAM and Feisty 64bit Herd 3.
1. It appears that you have to use sudo to run "kvm" given the default
permissions on /dev/kvm. Don't know if this is a bug for sure or by
design.
2. When running: "sudo kvm -no-acpi -m 384 -boot c winxp.img"
Everything seems to work fine in the guest OS except my virtual mouse
isn't working, and the "Windows" key doesn't seem to pass thru to the
guest using default GNOME settings (which don't do anything special for
that key). This one is damn inconvenient.
3. When you reboot WinXP - KVM hangs with an error and has to be manually
killed. I think this has been fixed in later
builds of KVM but thought I'd mention it.
4. This isn't you guys fault, but KVM has to be the worst name/acronym
imaginable, given that it is already in use
for "Keyboard, Video, Mouse" switch. Try doing a search on "kvm mouse windows
key" and see what you get!
