Michael, Thanks for the quick follow-up. I actualy can't do that for a couple of reasons. After the upgrade error occurred, I was unable to log into the box -- it died during the boot process.
Because time was of the essence, I ended up creating an install CD and overwrote the disk by installing a new version of Kubuntu. I suspect that this means that this ticket now needs to be closed out.
