I can confirm this bug.
System: Ubuntu Jaunty - fresh install.
Kernel-Option is enabled:
grep TOSHIBA /boot/config-2.6.28-11-generic
CONFIG_ACPI_TOSHIBA=m
# CONFIG_TOSHIBA is not set
CONFIG_TOSHIBA_FIR=m
CONFIG_YENTA_TOSHIBA=y
module-loading fails:
modprobe toshiba_acpi
WARNING: All config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe.d/ndiswrapper, it will be
ignored in a future release.
FATAL: Error inserting toshiba_acpi
(/lib/modules/2.6.28-16-generic/kernel/drivers/acpi/toshiba_acpi.ko): No such
device
But Module exists:
ls -al /lib/modules/2.6.28-16-generic/kernel/drivers/acpi/toshiba_acpi.ko
