** Description changed: Binary package hint: software-center I am looking for a new application for installation. In the background an application is being installed. At a certain moment in time, I suspect when the installation in the background is terminated, the display of installable applications suddenly changes, i.e. the list of displayed applications jumps back to the first application in alphabetic order. This is a nuisance from a gui perspective, since I have to scroll all the way down again. It's not a big big deal, but the experience from a end-user perspective would be much better if this didn't happen. - Wishlist: It would be great if users could rate the applications in the - software centre. - 1) Ubuntu 9.10 - - the Karmic Koala + - the Karmic Koala 2) software-center: - Installed: 1.0.2 - Candidate: 1.0.2 - Version table: - *** 1.0.2 0 - 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages - 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status + Installed: 1.0.2 + Candidate: 1.0.2 + Version table: + *** 1.0.2 0 + 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages + 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3) Displayed applications do not change without user interaction 4) Sudden change of displayed applications during installation of software in the background ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Sat Oct 31 15:16:51 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 Package: software-center 1.0.2 PackageArchitecture: all ProcEnviron: - LANG=en_US.UTF-8 - SHELL=/bin/bash + LANG=en_US.UTF-8 + SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.48-generic SourcePackage: software-center Uname: Linux 2.6.31-14-generic i686
