Like you, I have finite time, I just haven't had a chance to send in the
information yet.

Incidentally, apologies for the lack of information in the first place.
I got sloppy :(.

godiva:~$ uname -a
Linux godiva 2.6.20-8-generic #2 SMP Tue Feb 13 01:14:41 UTC 2007 x86_64
GNU/Linux

lspci information attached.

dmesg information coming. I'm guessing you'll want a dmesg both after
boot and after resume.

Other information noticed since the first report:
 - The problem is intermittent, the MAC address is lost maybe 50% of resumes.
 - After resume, there's often (but not always) a balloon saying that the
machine failed to suspend, despite the fact that it did suspend.
 - The problem was initially seen with 2.6.20-5-generic, but has continued with
2.6.20-6-generic and 2.6.20-8-generic.
 - The machine also has a tendency to crash (usually with the blinking keyboard
lights to indicate a panic) after perhaps 10-20% of resumes. I haven't yet
managed to assemble the equipment to attach a serial console to get more
information on this, unfortunately.
