Public bug reported:
After playing .flac songs for a short period of time, like 2 minutes, there
isn't any sound output anymore, and rhythmbox seemed to be fast-forwarding all
the songs. CPU usage of pulseaudio is 100%. It happens with lots of other
gstreamer based players, such as banshee and amarok with gstreamer engine.
This does NOT happen on amarok with xine engine
This bug might be related to pulseaudio as well.
My sound card is a CMI8738 PCI, which functions perfectly on previous versions
of ubuntu and microsoft windows.
I am currently using kernel 2.6.32-rc7, but this problem ALSO happens on
karmic's stock kernel 2.6.31.
As no process is actually crashing, I don't know what files should I attach.
