After upgrading to 9.10, the top and bottom panels work. But the desktop in
between is a solid BLACK. However, clicking in the black precisely on icons
which should be there, make them open. And clicking on "Log Out" in the panel,
makes the desktop background appear for about a fraction of a second before the
logout operation is finished!
