I have the same problem. I'm using Ubuntu 9.10, HP Mini 5101 built-in BT card, Nokia N95 8 Gb.
Network-manager detects and configures my modem automatically when connected via USB. Everything works perfectly. With Bluetooth, however, network-manager never finds the modem. Even after I connect, pair and authorize using Ubuntu's bluetooth icon. I tried to edit rfcomm.conf to bind automatically at startup, but even then network-manager does nothing. Everytime I want to connect, I have to manually do: sdptool search DUN to find the channel and then sudo rfcomm connect 0 00:AA:BB:CC:DD:EE 2 or sudo rfcomm connect 0 00:AA:BB:CC:DD:EE 4 Terminal window must stay open... Then, and only then, network-manager will dial my 3G connection. -- networkmanager do not autoconnect to 3G phone through bluetooth https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/441423 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
