It still takes 1 min 7 secs after the kernel upgrade. I am running core
2 duo p8600 @ 2.4GH w/ 3GB ubuntu 9.10 64bit. My older laptop w/ one cpu
and 2gb mem used to take 22 secs to boot per bootchart. Here are two of
my bootcharts one from before and one from after few reboots after
install ppa kernel

Very slow boot up times (2m 30s) on Karmic 9.10 compared to 25 secs with Jaunty
9.04.
