Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: yelp
Using Intrepid and Jaunty I had no problems with Clonezilla.
After updating to Karmic and using exactly the same settings during the
cloning process (image ripping not burning) the process hangs on the
line
"Let original init take over"
The few lines above this are:
"Creating one-time-use dir... /opt/drbl... Done!"
"Try to remove nosharecache in /etc/fstba...
"Done. NFS-root directories are mounted"
Then
"Let original init take over"
It just hangs on this and does nothing more. I did search on line and
the only two pages I found that had anything related to this was
http://sourceforge.net/users/porterde
and
http://identi.ca/notice/13939473
The second link, the author says it is something to do with Karmic's boot
scripts.
Ubuntu Release 9.10
Clonezilla Release 2.3.4-2 Latest (also tried version before upgrading to this
one and still had the same problem)
I expected the Clonezilla package on this computer to save an image of the
Laptop I was cloning.
Instead it just hung on the line above.
