Public bug reported:
Setup: I have a HP Pavilion laptop which was set up with a dual-boot
configuration (Windows Vista and Jaunty).
I used Update Manager to perform a Jaunty -> Karmic upgrade, which
appeared to work without error.
However, after reboot the system now hangs on powerup. The hang is at
the HP BIOS splash screen; I do not even see the GRUB startup print.
I'm not sure what more information to collect regarding this. Please
let me know what more I can add to this bug report. Workarounds/fixes
would be good, too. :)
