Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
Openoffice.org Calc 3.1 on 9.10 (Karmic)
When using Delete Rows on the 'upper' half of a selected range that
includes merged cells in a column, Calc reliably hangs.
To repeat:
Fill a range of cells (multiple rows/columns) with data such as numeric
values
Select two cells in a column, and do Format...Merge Cells...Merge Cells.
Select OK to 'Should contents of hidden cells be moved into the first cell'
Select the entire row including the upper of the two merged cells,
right-click and select 'Delete Rows'. Ooo hangs.
If the entire row includng the lower of the two merged cells is selected
instead, the dialogue box 'Deleting in Merged Ranges not possible' is
shown.
