Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: dkms
If a module fails to build, the error should be reported to the user
after login via apport. Currently, the error is not reported at all,
and the only way of knowing is either noticing hardware doesn't work
(that needs the module) or reading /var/log/dkms_autoinstaller.
I ran into this issue during early Lucid development and only noticed it
because my boot was longer than it should...because dkms was failing to
build vboxdrv AT EVERY BOOT ;).
