This is still happening as of today (after the latest update). After
booting, I can see that 2 messages per second are being added to
kern.log:

The internal pcmcia wireless card works, but the slot does not work;
however the slot works well in 9.04 and earlier versions. (This system
currently dual-boots between 9.04 and 9.10). lshw output is as in the
previous attachment.

And the bug is still unassigned.
