I've upgraded from Jaunty too. I don't have network-manager-kde installed, since "sudo aptitude remove network-manager-kde" says
No packages will be installed, upgraded, or removed. 0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. Need to get 0B of archives. After unpacking 0B will be used. I can't check now, since I seem to be affected by another bug: clicking (left- and right-) on the plasma applet says "Network Management disabled" - it makes sense to me to always include with such a message an "I don't care, enable it now!" button, but apparently that's not how things work. :-( This also reflects a disturbing trend of GUI frontends simply swallowing and ignoring errors instead of reporting them. -- Network Manager: "New ad hoc network..." does nothing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/466568 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to plasma-widget-networkmanagement in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
