I'm seeing the same thing on my Dell 1501 laptop running 9.10, the most recent example was last night. I was using the laptop on battery power, and plugged in the charger when there was about 1/3 of a charge left as indicated by the battery status icon. The machine then popped up a notification that the battery was critically low and the machine would shut down in one minute, or something like that. It then started shutting down, but didn't make it all the way, and I had to cycle the power to bring it back up.
I've "beaten" that shutdown process before by quickly unplugging the charger, then plugging it back in, but for some reason that didn't work last night. Please let me know if I can supply any files from my machine. I am a new user and this is my first participation in a bug report. -- Laptop goes into hibernation whenever I plug in the power cord as if battery is dead https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/481056 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
