IMHO I do not feel that manipulating some white space in debian/copyright and the manipulation of the maintainers field in debian/control is worthy worth a sync, this would save on buildd time, archive admin time, and MOTU time.
The plan is to push ampache-themes-3.4.4-1, and ampache-3.5.2-1(which was just released today) through m.d.n and then sync the new versions over to Ubuntu, this way Debian and Ubuntu will have the same versions for the release of Lucid and Squeeze. IMHO this is a more efficient use of everyone's time and resources? IIRC I have until FF to get this done correct? Could you please point me to the IRC logs as I was not part of that discussion. Since I am not a MOTU and just a lowly per package uploader for this package I defer this decision to MOTU. If MOTU feels there is a need for this sync then I am fine with that decision. If MOTU feels this sync is not worth it, I am fine with that decision also.
