I agree that 'System > Control Center > System > Synaptic Package
Man...' (the '...' is actually there, see bug #87619) is not an optimal
way for users to find this _application_. I stress application because I
regard it as more of an application than a system setting, which is what
I expect to find in 'Control Center'.

My suggestion is that 'Applications > Add/Remove...' includes an button
named 'Advanced' which open Synaptic. I believe this used to be the
case. I will reopen this bug once, as I think it is a usability bug.
