** Changed in: ubuntu
Assignee: Christophe Bourez (ubuntu-bug-tracking) => (unassigned)

** Summary changed:

- Karmic can't mount/read external USB Harddrive
+ Karmic can't detect/mount/read external USB Harddrive

** Description changed:

I have external USB drive with ReiserFS as the filesystem.
I create the filesystem on my external USB Harddrive with Jaunty then I
upgraded my ubuntu to Karmic.
unfortunately Karmic seems doesn't recognize my external drive.
then I try using Jaunty LiveUSB to read my external drive and it just
succesfully read it.

I copy below message from dmesg:

[ 627.733072] usb 1-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3
  [ 629.272128] usb 1-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
  [ 754.005451] usb 4-4: USB disconnect, address 2
  [ 754.006039] btusb_bulk_complete: hci0 urb f55c4d80 failed to resubmit (19)
  [ 754.006047] btusb_intr_complete: hci0 urb f55c4e80 failed to resubmit (19)
  [ 754.007037] btusb_bulk_complete: hci0 urb f55c4e00 failed to resubmit (19)
  [ 754.007154] btusb_send_frame: hci0 urb f3bee800 submission failed

I installed gparted, mountmanager, gsmartcontrol but none of them can
mount/read my external USB Harddrive.
FYI for USB Flashdrive/USB Stick there is no problem.
