Jared - The errors you are getting are to with the nvidia-vdpau ppa. Disable
this in software sources and it should go away.
Also, you shouldn't need the ppa anymore (I think). ureadahead and the patched
kernel were accepted into karmic-proposed - so if you enable this in software
sources and then update and upgrade then you should have the new kernel and
ureadahead.
Asif - the time listed is simply the time to load the kernel + 45
seconds. If you actually inspect the charts then it looks like all the
stuff after log-in is being sped up by ureadahead. For example, gnome-
panel loads at 50s into the boot beforehand, and 35s afterwards.
