** Description changed: Upon turning on the mousepad on my laptop (Compaq Presario C700) a stream of '='s appear (eg.====================) which multiply indefinately in the first text field the cursor is placed in until another key is pressed. I am using Ubuntu 9.04. + + EDIT: I am now using Ubuntu 9.10 and the problem still exists.
