ok, we have a complete and clean method to get NetworkManager work despite this bug !
1) Enter "sudo pppoeconf" in a terminal to set up your connection 2) Add the https://launchpad.net/~network-manager/+archive/trunk repository 3) Update your packages 4) Enter "sudo rm /etc/network/interfaces" in a terminal to reactivate NetworkManager. 5) If the connection now works with NetworkManager, desactivate the https://launchpad.net/~network-manager/+archive/trunk repository do you all agree with this ? if ok, please indicate the complete method in the bug description. (IMHO the "fixed packages are available here: .." note is not enough information for beginners) regards -- [MASTER] pppd timeout when trying to establish a DSL connection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/432205 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
