Thanks for reporting a bug. I was able to reproduce it with the info you gave (thanks for giving the reproduce information beforehand), and yeah, it is a tad confusing. However, this does not really represent a coding error in the program, but a missing feature.
I'll contact someone higher up on the experience chain than me, but this might be a "wishlist" item. I never noticed that before, and yeah, it is a tad annoying.
