I'm running gramps on jaunty on an asus eee netbook. With certain databases, the data is not saved on Quit. However, I can successfully Export to a new database. I have not fully understood why some databases "work" and others do not, but it seems to be associated with whether the database contains superfluous or conflicting entries. (I have been merging two databases which had significant overlap.) A completely "clean" database - that passes the gramps verification of data without any negative notifications - does correctly save data on Quit.
I have verified that deleting the .gbkp files in the appropriate .gramps directory makes no difference. Thus, neither the .db files NOR the .gbkp files are being updated. I don't know how to get the debug info like that mentioned above ..... presumably setting a flag when running from the command line? I also see no "Set Home person" in the Edit menu. Even for a completely "clean" dbase.
