Could you please clean up your debdiff, so that no unnecessary modification is
done? The first change is on Makefile.in, and it shouldn't be there.
I think this is because you used debuild -b withi the source directory. You
should start the upgrade with a clean source directory, and check that the
.diff file does not have any unnecessary changes.
I'll put as incomplete in the meantime.
