On my machine it takes about 40 seconds before Ooo can complete the
deletion of the row. So it looks as if Ooo hangs. If you undo the
operation (Ctrl-Z) and then retry to delete the row, it happens almost
instantaneously.
One can easily reproduce this behaviour with only 4 cells

1 2
Merge the first and the last column into 1 cell and try to delete the row
afterwards. It takes a very long time to acomplish this
operation! I tried this operation also on the same version of Ooo but running
on Win-Xp : Row is deleted immediately.
Anyhow I can confirm this problem.
